Who can read my messages?

Public mailboxes are shared with users who have saved access. Pro and Developer can reopen a known public address. Private mailboxes belong to your account and are available on Pro and Developer. Signing in alone does not make a public mailbox private.

How long are messages kept?

Free public messages stay for 7 days. Plus public messages stay for 14 days; higher plans follow their plan retention. Private message retention also follows the paid plan. Each message expires from its original receipt time. Reading it does not extend that deadline. Mailboxes stay saved until you remove them.

Do I need to open a mailbox first?

Yes. Create the mailbox before sharing its address. Free users receive a random username and domain. Private addresses use premium or your verified custom domains. Reopening a public address requires a paid plan. Clearing browser storage removes anonymous access. Mail sent while an address is inactive is discarded and cannot be recovered later.

Can I send email or use my own domain?

The service is receive-only; it does not send, reply, or forward email. Pro and Developer support private receiving on verified custom domains.

Can I automate verification-code retrieval?

Developer includes an API for your private mailboxes. Its OTP event stream watches new arrivals for up to 60 seconds and returns extracted code candidates with metadata and heuristic confidence. See the OTP documentation for details.
